Major Motoko Kusanagi is a beautiful cyborg who works for Section 29, Japan's secret police force, in the year 2029. Motoko's supervisor, Aramaki, orders her to find Puppet Master, a sinister computer terrorist created by a rival organization. Helping her is fellow cyborg Bateau and the almost entirely human agent Togusa. Because their prey has the ability to hack into the minds of his enemies, the evil villain must be stopped as soon as possible. But as the tough cops close in on their target, Motoko realizes that she and Puppet Master seem to have a lot in common. [More]

Reviews for Ghost in the Shell
Ultimately Ghost in the Shell remains a hard sell, with sluggish pacing and sloppy storytelling effectively smothering the strengths of this lackluster effort.
Thrilling, compelling, moving and visually splendid, this isn't just a classic anime, it's a great film.
I enjoyed its visuals, its evocative soundtrack (including a suite for percussion and heavy breathing), and its ideas.
O visual e a qualidade da animação são incríveis, e a história é bastante criativa.
Ghost in the Shell is another 'Japanamation' feature, with a science-fiction story that is a bit more interesting than most, though it is also overly complicated and occasionally confusing.
A fairly entrancing vision of a human race overrun by evolving artificial intelligence.
