Trailer Bulletin: Hilary Swank in "The Reaping"

Those Dark Castle guys are at it again. From the studio that brought you "Ghost Ship," "Gothika," and "House of Wax" comes "The Reaping" -- which deals with biblical plagues, haunted towns, and huge swarms of bugs. Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is the star.

Synopsis: "A former Christian missionary (who lost her faith after her family was tragically killed) has since become a world renowned expert in disproving religious phenomena. But when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appear to be the Biblical plagues, she realizes that science cannot explain what is happening, and she must regain her faith to combat the dark forces threatening the community."

Trailer's up at SciFi.com.

Co-starring David Morrissey and AnnaSophia Robb (and directed by Stephen Hopkins) WB's "The Reaping" hits theaters on November 8th.

It's pretty bad that House of Wax is their freshest movie on the tomatometer yet I've seen all of these movies and will see this one. I dunno why, I typically hate myself afterwards but I have soft spot for terribly stupid horror movies I guess. Maybe this one will actually have redeeming qualities. Hilary Swank is in it ya know, and she's a much better actress than Paris Hilton. Paris is the star of their "best" movie.

this studio had 13 Ghosts. It had cool creatures, gore, and plenty of cheese. I haven't seen the other ones, but since when where horror movies supposed to be good movies. You dont judge them on the same merits. Originality, gore, and nastiness make the best horror movies. like the Saw series
