Cinema Crazed

It's moody and atmospheric, with a lot of solid performances from the cast.

The movie has few surprises for lifelong horror fans, but it'll keep them (or us -- I count myself in their number) happily diverted for just under 90 minutes.

Cinema em Cena

Os efeitos visuais são risíveis, os diálogos são péssimos e o filme simplesmente não assusta. Em contrapartida, a trama é desenvolvida de tal maneira que jamais perdemos o interesse no que está acontecendo.

Shadows on the Wall

It's refreshing to watch a horror film that's this unpretentious. It's not afraid to be profoundly cheesy...and it actually unsettles us with hideous grisliness rather than mere noises on the soundtrack.

It's surprisingly good, spooky, fun, and stylish.

The plot doesn't always make sense, despite a thunderous explicatory montage halfway through, but as a fresh setting for terror shenanigans, this Ghost Ship is somewhere between B minus and the High Cs.

A fine, old-fashioned haunting on the high seas.

This starts off with a 1950's Doris Day feel and it gets very ugly, very fast. The first five minutes will have you talking 'til the end of the year!

Ghost Ship is produced with a certain level of restraint by Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis, with a script credited to Mark Hanlon and John Pogue that draws upon many familiar sources and suffers only mildly from Narrative Deficit Disorder.

If you are a viewer mature enough to withstand the stunning onslaught of gore without suffering nightmares, Ghost Ship is worthy entertainment.

It's Halloween season, and while Ghost Ship can't hold a candle to The Ring for true primal scares, it'll probably stay respectably afloat until at least most of the candy is gone.

One of the scariest, most original scream-at-the-screen style horror movies I've seen in years...nonetheless ruined by an insultingly insipid cliché of an ending.

As long as they keep pumping out the cheese from Dark Castle's schlocky shock shop, I'll be there, nachos in hand, waiting to be overwhelmed with cheddar.

The folks at Hollywood's Dark Castle Entertainment are polluting the high seas with this dead-in-the-water combo of The Shining and Titanic.
