But it's nice to unwind. It's the type of movie i'd watch after a nice dinner and several beers. Just to zone-out and not think.

I liked the G.I. Joe movies. Why? Because they're entertaining IMO. I'm not looking for an Oscar winner. I'm looking for a fun movie. These G.I. Joe and Transformers films are examples. And to a lesser extent, I sorta liked Battleship (don't hate on me!).

saw the new Gi Joe movie [Retaliation] yesterday as the first ones a guilty pleaasure of mine/popcorn movie. anyway this new one wasn't as good, it was a bit too serious for a cartoony/toyline type movie, The Rock wasn't as bad as I thought he would be but Bruce Willis, blink and you'd miss him. They must have just had him for a afternoon or something so they could put his name on the poster
