The film looks muddy, fuzzy and indistinct.
Although I'm sorry you lay face first in medical bed due to cancer. I don't agree

Say whatever you want about the movie. But, why do you want to comment about Mr. Ebert's cancer issue? That's just rude and inhuman.
Jul 4 - 04:45 AM
Rodger Ebert gets too caught up in his work and forgets about what movies are exactly about.
Feb 10 - 08:13 PM
Even though I respect Ebert as a critic... the fact he feels this about this film is simply discrediting towards himself. This is a phenomenal movie.

Agrred. How he can vaguely suggest his comments are realistic is beyond comprehension. Fuzzy, muddy and indistinct!! Surely seemed distinct to me and MANY others

if you lived 1,900 years ago you would be muddy, fuzzy, and indistinct it's just the time period

I agree with ebert and roeper most of the time but sometimes i just wanna punch them in the face
Jan 12 - 04:10 PM
Ebert has lost touch with Cinema, that is assuming he ever had some connection. This is cinematic perfection as far as historical, as well as, epic movies go.
Jul 29 - 11:48 PM
These comments reflect the first rule of RT reviews: A good review is a positive review and a bad review is a negative review. Why can't he be more like Peter Travers and just call everything a masterpiece so everybody will like him?
Aug 26 - 07:26 AM
you're completely right
Jul 27 - 04:45 AM
Not necessarily. The points he raised to defend himself were insufficient.
Apr 13 - 03:24 PM
while i do agree with many of your reviews Roger, im afraid i think your completely and utterly wrong
May 10 - 02:30 PM
You're right, the film is grim and depressing and dark looking.
May 30 - 08:40 PM
You sound like you didn't even watch this amazing movie.
Jun 2 - 02:36 PM
"Crowe is efficient as Maximus", "Pheonix is passable as commodus" ?... wtf
Aug 19 - 02:44 PM
I guess the above comments sum it up .
You got it wrong ...

Sep 8 - 11:52 AM
You're such a hypocritical cynic, Ebert.
Nov 5 - 08:47 AM
If it looks like a prickard, writes like a prickard, sounds like a prickard.... why are you reading its reviews?
