The Godfather, Part II

I agree completely with this Review.

Both the Michael and Vito storylines were great, but they didn't match up in style or meaning making the film very hard to watch all the way through.

I also agree with the rating, I think this is a good but very overrated film. However Ebert may have changed his opinion on it as he included it in some sort of publication on great films, perhaps he felt the need to conform which is quite atypical of him.

I don't think it's better than the first either chief...it definitely drags on. I like that it has a different tone for Vito and Michael...and it is an excellent film for sure....but it is very slow at some points. I do have an attention span btw in case that is where you were going with your reply....if you replied =)Great film none the less.

Mr. Ebert said it best in his Great Movies review:

Then why is it a "great movie"? Because it must be seen as a piece with the unqualified greatness of "The Godfather." The two can hardly be considered apart.
