Critic Review - Ebert & Roeper

Four hours including the intermission, I felt like I was seeing the Civil War in real time for awhile there.

Your lack of respect for American history is astonishing. While not a ground breaking piece of American cinema, your review of this film gives way to a questionable ability to review a film. According to your rating, Thor is ranked at 77% and God's and Generals is ranked at 8%. Either somebody paid you A LOT of money to give thor such a rating, or.. well there is no alternative, you got paid dude. An alien story without background, story line, character development and rock music to simply boost weak action scenes is better than one of the most dramatic stories in American history??? What do you enjoy? I agree with Chris K on this. Thor? Really? It didn't even end well. This movie leads up to Gettysburg (1993) which is an even BETTER film. Surely you must have some respect for America's past.
