Culkin is never really very believable in his role, though Wood does better, lending depth to a sketchily written character.

The movie is a creepy, unpleasant experience, made all the worse because it stars children too young to understand the horrible things we see them doing.
Culkin shows that he might be more than a one-trick pony given a little seasoning. It just might be a good idea if his next trick is something original.
