Does it need to be The Shawshank Redemption? They are two different movies, and I highly doubt Darabont had The Shawshank Redemption in mind whenn he made this movie.

Grouping it based on the fact that it's set in a prison is lazy journalism. You might as well have said it's not the Great Escape, Longest Yard or Jail-house Rock.
