Fully realized, three dimensional characters may be too much to expect, but imagine how much more effective the drama would be if that were provided.

Incorporating a nuanced view of one of the most relevant topics of our time, Fox's limited series THE GRID tackled the issue of international terrorism from multiple perspectives, including the victims of war, those fighting terror, and the perpetrators themselves. Unfolding with gritty realism and shot in a documentary style, the story opens with a deadly sarin attack in London that calls to action counter-terrorist agents in both the UK and the US. National Security Council Deputy Director Maren Jackson (Julianna Margulies, ER, EVELYN) puts together a clandestine operation made up of top agents in their fields. This includes FBI agent Max Canary (Dylan McDermott, THE PRACTICE, WONDERLAND) and CIA Middle Eastern analyst Raza Michaels (Piter Marek, BARBARIANS: A BATTLE FOR ROME). Meanwhile, on British soil, the investigation is led by MI5 inspector Derrek Jennings (Bernard Hill LORD OF THE RINGS) and MI6 Senior Agent Emily Tuthill (Jemma Redgrave, HOWARD'S END, BRAMWELL). As the team follows the trail that brings them ever closer to terrorist leader Muhammed, who is bent on the destruction of the Western world, they are faced with obstacles within their own ranks and even in their personal lives.
