I've only seen a few of his films, and the only one I've ever liked was Happy Gilmore (and just barely).
Wow...I feel so COOL in front of you people right now!

If you are the sort of real friend I have to look forward to, I will take my internet friends.
Jul 14 - 02:22 PM
I'm finding it more fascinating at the moment to find out which few Adam Sandler films people seem to find acceptable.
Jul 14 - 09:06 AM
No, many of the people I know both online and offline love Adam Sandler. And I honestly have no idea why. The man represents hollywood at its laziest. The only movie I ever liked him in was Reign Over Me
Jul 14 - 08:46 AM
Don't need peer pressure to know a sequel of a horrible movie with the same director, actors, and writers of the first is going to be horrible.

Which ones of us though, and what did it feel like to let Sandler buttfuck you so often?
Jul 12 - 01:00 AM
Screw peer pressure. None of his movies are particularly good. Happy Gilmore and Little Nicky are the only ones that made me laugh to any great degree. Sandler needs to re-evaluate his acting career.
Jul 11 - 09:21 PM
I used to come to the defense of him. He is now the white tyler perry. The last movie that was worth anything was click but even that had really dumb parts. Everything after that is pure crap and havent seen anything of his in the last 3 years or so
Jul 11 - 07:24 AM
Yeah, because Adam Sandler is such a genius. He's the absolute god of all things humorous and brilliant in the world.
Jul 9 - 03:12 PM
For the record, I've always hated his films, the only one I can say I somewhat enjoyed was Happy Gilmore.
Jul 9 - 07:34 AM
I really want to sound cool hating the guy who excremented "Bucky Larson: Born to be an Abomination".
Jul 8 - 08:00 PM
People only hate Sandler because he's a GENIUS! Just look at the critical acclaim That's By Boy, Jack & Jill, & the first Grown Ups got :D They just don't understand his epic comedic style.
Jul 8 - 07:55 PM
I don't mind populist entertainment but Adam Sandler is just horrible at what he does.
Jul 8 - 01:41 PM
No, I hate Adam Sandler for the one joke vapid actor he is. I will say that I do think his performance in Punch Drunk Love works, but mostly because director Paul Thomas Anderson knows what to do with him and his insanity. He is a scary guy, and on top of that he is also a con man who inflates his movie budgets until they are almost crossing the century million mark. Then he shoots his films in the cheapest way possible so that he can write off high pay checks for him and his buddies involved in the project. This only turns the gears of easy money making that has been deteriorating the credibility of Hollywood films for the past decade, please I beg of you, if you believe that film is an art, please don't buy a ticket to grown ups 2, go see pacific rim, or despicable me 2, or even the heat, anything that looks like it was a product of the money spent.
Jul 8 - 10:59 AM
I know what you mean. It's a hard world with all the Sandler-hating peer pressure though. I mean, I really love Adam Sandler movies but I'm just so damn afraid to admit it, even to myself. It's so cool to hate Sandler and I'm scared that my buddies will beat me up or call me names like 'Retard Sandler-lover', 'Sandler-fucker' or 'Stupid Fucking Idiot.' Hopefully, someday I will summon the strength to stand up for myself and admit to my long-concealed passion for the cinema of Adam Sandler.
Jul 6 - 04:39 PM
I have no friends except Liana and even we don't talk that much anymore, that's why I'm such a nasty cunt
Jul 5 - 01:01 PM
Sometimes people want to see stupid movies and that's ok... do what you want with your money. I just hope that people would reward some great movies that get passed up because of movies like most of Adam Sandler's movies.
Jul 2 - 11:15 AM
LMAO some of you guys like to troll RT and say shit like this just to look cool in front of your mother while you live in her basement.
Jul 2 - 08:32 AM
I think Sandler did an amazing nomination worthy job in Punch Drunk Love, I was so invested in that character.... I just don't like his comedies so why bother.
Jul 1 - 06:58 PM
Um, no. I hate on Sandler because he isn't funny in the slightest. But of course. A Sandler fanboy like yourself would have to justify all this hate by turning it into a conspiracy theory.
Jul 1 - 05:43 PM
LMAO you only love Sandler films because you have the mental capacity of a turnip, coke-bottle glasses, and a severe history of mental retardation.
Jul 1 - 03:43 PM
I have internet friends?
Fuck em.
ANd Sandler is a pile of unfunny shit now and since the day after Happy Gilmore was wrapped up.
Jun 29 - 08:54 PM
Um... nope. I liked Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, but his new movies are just awful.
Apr 7 - 11:21 PM
I agree. When I was in middle school, I though Billy Madison was wonderful, and I've rewatched it a year or two ago and still enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Happy Gilmore, but with Big Daddy, his movies started to get a bit sappy and it was all downhill from there. I tried to watch That's my Boy on Encore last weekend, as I sometimes enjoy Andy Samberg, but my husband and I looked at each other after the round of "Waaazzzupp..." at the pre-wedding party, and had to change the channel. I also attempted to watch Bucky Larson on one of the premium cable channels a few months ago, and it was almost painfully awkward. I cracked a smile at the drinking straw-condom bit, but other than that, I just felt pity for Christina Ricci and Don Johnson. And I enjoy silly comedies - MacGruber is one of my recent favorites, and Hot Rod was enjoyable as well. But I can't believe Adam Sandler's movies regularly hit the $100 million mark, and that Grown Ups 2 is supposed to beat Pacific Rim's box office this weekend.

Ironically, "sounds cool in front your friends" seems like the go-to excuse to bash critics who hate Sandler's movies. It's like the Sandler fanbase has singlehandedly created reverse-pretentiousness, with their endless rants on how anyone who doesn't like Sandler is an old, pretentious snob too stupid to laugh at stupid comedy.
