Before the Sandler fanboys attack or the sacred defenders of "humor" who seem to think I'm incapable of laughter, let me tell you that I love comedies. Step Brothers, The Hangover, Anchorman, Idiocracy, Kingpin, Ground Hog Day, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, The Wedding Singer, etc ~ those are great movies. This movie was not funny in the slightest.
Here's a scene in the movie that sums up the completely unfunny vibe to this piece of shit:
When David Spade gets put into a real tire at Kevin James' auto shop, Sandler's character is wanting to roll Spade inside of the tire. Spade is against it but for some reason climbs into the tire and agrees to being pushed a short distance. Guess what happens next? Can you guess? That's right, the obvious slapstick manufactured craziness ensues. OOPS! Sandler gets an inconvenient phone call and forgets to catch this gigantic tire that goes violently rolling through town. However, it's not a real tire anymore, it's a CGI tire with a CGI Spade inside of it. The tire is rolling & bouncing around, causing havoc as the friends give chase. Eventually, it gets stopped by Shaq's dick and Spade projectile vomits (fire hose style). Then the rest of the cast reaches the tire where they gleefully giggle, cheer, and want to ride in the tire.
The problem here is that this was already done on Jackass, with real tires, real people, and real puke. That's the problem with this whole movie. It doesn't have one single fiber of realness or originality. Its jokes are lame, its scenes are lame & even when they try their best to do something they think is new, cool, edgy, or different it ends up being stolen, fake, and/or forced.
