Alexcar writes: on Oct 08 2007 01:49 PM So they throw duds (not to say they weren't financially successful) like "Resident Evil", "Silent Hill", "Tomb Raider", "Doom" and "Hitman" into theatres... But God forbid "Halo", basically one of the largest game licenses out there. Seriously, with all the sequels and remakes out there, it became clear that film execs were just focusing on trying to rake in the dough by rehashing familiar crap... What makes them think a flim based off Halo would tank as opposed to the other junk that has been released? I just don't get it. To me, this isn't about wanting a movie based off of Halo to be made. It's a matter of what this industry is amounting to in terms of its interests. (Reply to this) |

hewpot writes: on Oct 13 2007 01:35 AM well this could be bad, or good, the film will definately eventually be made though. Now you have peter jackson on board, i mean, the game adaptions in good if not decent hands already, if we wait for the film, Paul ****** *** Anderson or some other **** will have control and make the film. They should make it NOW! However, this could be like the 1999 Superman lives movie that Tim Burton was going to direct but never did and Bryan Singer took over and made decently.... really, idk, what the ****, it could get better or worse (Reply to this) |

_emi writes: on Oct 22 2007 02:02 PM In reply to this comment (#1176780) Muddler, yea no game to movie adaptation has been any good, but think about it - those movies did not have Peter Jackson, they did not have a $100-200 million budget, they did not have WETA supervising the vfx, and they did not have Neil's unique vision and style. Regarding the shorts, Neil said those shorts had nothing to do with the movie; it would've been nothing like those shorts. (Reply to this) |
