Movie Info
When a battered wife kills herself and curses the Goddess Bhagwati for her injustice, the woman's husband mollifies the deity by offering her a sacrificial virgin (Sonali Kulkarni). But the girl elopes with the local temple drummer (Manoj Bajpai), and the goddess possesses the bride -- who acquires divine powers that shake up the village. The couple flees to Mumbai, where devious characters exploit the newlywed's gifts in this Bollywood drama.
