The leaves have changed colors, there's a chill in the air, and the kids on your block are already plotting their elaborate revenge for the lousy off-brand candy you're planning on putting in the bowl, come October 31st. It's almost Halloween, gang, and in honor of the unholyday, your pals at RT decided it would be fun to compile a list of some of the most iconic serial killers in horror film history. You'll find Freddy and Jason here, of course, but we've also made room for a few less obvious choices, and we've scoured the internet to come up with our estimates. Let the slashing begin!

Box Office Guru Preview: Fool's Gold Hopes to Shine in Battle of New Comedies
Hollywood plays the race card this weekend opening a pair of star-driven comedies, one for white moviegoers and the other for black audiences. Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson get the wider release with the romantic adventure comedy Fool's Gold while debuting in 741 fewer theaters is Martin Lawrence's family reunion laughfest Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins.

Frank Miller Faults Weinsteins for Sin City 2 Delay
While sitting on a Comic Con panel, Frank Miller was asked about the hold-up on Sin City 2. (Numerous times, probably.) And it looks like the celebrated author / artist / filmmaker is laying the blame solely at the feet of the Weinstein brothers.

Box Office Guru Wrapup: "Ghost Rides" High Again at #1
Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage ruled Oscar weekend with his skull-on-fire motorcycle actioner "Ghost Rider," which held steady at number one in North America for the second straight time. Moviegoers delivered different verdicts to the handful of new releases led by the Jim Carrey thriller "The Number 23," which fared best and debuted in second place. Overall, the top ten was about even with the corresponding weekends from the last two years.

Box Office Guru Wrapup: Ghost Rider Smokes Rivals During Record Presidents' Day Weekend
Hollywood studios opened five new wide releases targeting different audiences and were rewarded with a record-breaking Presidents' Day holiday weekend tally as moviegoers opened their wallets and spread their cash across a variety of films. The comic book actioner "Ghost Rider" led the way with an explosive debut while the family drama "Bridge to Terabithia" was a solid performer in the runnerup spot.

"Rising" Director Snags "Barbarella" Remake
Just last week we learned that Dino De Laurentiis was hot to produce a new-fangled "female James Bond in outer space" remake of "Barbarella," but it's not exactly a remake, of course. And now it seems that the veteran producer has scored himself a director.
