Fresh out of prison, master thief Thomas Taylor (Christian Slater) assembles a crack team of outlaws to pull off his most brilliant multimillion-dollar heist. Alas, the stolen money is marked, enabling FBI agent Mark Cornell (Val Kilmer) to swiftly track down Taylor and his cohorts. A moral fable in which the deepest analysis comes from the politics surrounding the film rather than the lifeless garbage found within the movie.
When the opening scene makes you feel as though you've already missed about an hour of the plot you know you're in trouble.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and for former box office kings Christian Slater and Val Kilmer, the bottom of the scrap heap is "Hard Cash", a mostly mediocre action number that hardly showcases their talent
