Critic Review - Chicago Reader

Simpleminded, but it's fairly inoffensive, at least until Ashby lingers over the concentration-camp serial number tattooed on Gordon's arm. Some things are beyond the reach of whimsy.

When it comes to movies, you are about as close minded as they get, not even bothering to write reviews that back up your hate for every movie that doesn't follow the Hollywood cliche, yu're the reason I don't fully trust this site's reviews.

I'm sick and tired of you writing all this BS about really great movies. You don't even have anything more than a blunt pointless statement to support your opinion! It's like you can't even enjoy watching movies at all. You are a sick excuse for a film critic.

OK, first of all, how does Ashby "LINGER" over the number on her hand?? It's shown for about 2 seconds and then that's it. You clearly have trouble grasping what's so great about these classic films since you have numerous rotten reviews for many of them.

It shows the tattoo to show that even though Maude has been through a very hard life and seen some of the worst events to ever come out of the world, she is still able to love life and see beauty in the world.

The tattoo is from a death class Dave, not a consecration camp...everyone on year course knows that, just ask Rich.

I don't know which has me more shocked: That the short blurb above is the entire review, or that the blurb distorts the meaning, duration and significance of once single element of the film. It would seem that you went into this viewing with the intent of not liking the film and this lack of any real degree of objectivity undermines your professionalism.

Sad excuse for a review.

Dave, you didn't see this movie. You read about the scene somewhere else and decided to write a "review" where you could sound like a clever pretentious twat, which is what you clearly succeeded in doing. You're a top critic?
