Critic Review - Los Angeles Times

The Harry Potter films, like the boy wizard himself, have had their creative ups and downs, so it's especially satisfying that this final film, ungainly title and all, has been worth the wait.

It's looking as if it might actually end up being the best one yet! I hope so

Well if it keeps this pace up and doesn't get many more rotten reviews then it is going to finish with the same score as King's Speech and we all know how it did.

BUT, the Academy has always hated Potter and never taken it seriously so it just makes me think that no matter how stunningly recieved the final film may be, it isnt going to give the film the credit it is finally due.

This movie has almost no chance of winning an Oscar for best picture, even if it had wound up with 100% fresh.

Generally speaking, it's not the kind of movie that usually wins.

While I like all the Potter films, none of them have even been close to deserving an Oscar for best picture, though this one does look promising!

i didn't mean win....
I'm sure that it would never win...
I just want it to at least be nominated...
If Avatar or ever THE BLIND SIDE be nominated
they why not HPDHP2 when its gotten more acclaim
then both?
