Oh man, I couldn't say it better myself. I've been a mega fan of this series for the entire decade...I was so overwhelmed by emotions I need to see it again to actually critically look at it.
If you can put nostalgia aside, you will see just how terrible it is. I, a person who unlike a vast majority is not a huge fan, was thoroughly unamused. Seriously; no stakes, no mysteries solved that weren't OBVIOUS, and no genuine emotions (ones that aren't accumulated over 10 years); UP made me cry in the first 5 minutes... those were real emotions.
no stakes?
did you see this movie or tha
one before it?
thousands of innocent people were being
sent to Azkaban prison and murdered
for not being "pure blood"
like the Nazis did with the Jews...
you wouldn't say there was nothing at stake
there would you?
the same thing just metaphorically..
and did you see the scene where Harry embraced
that he was going to die?
you could pratically see the fear and anxiety
in his eyes..the pain of losing others..
tons died during the big battle..
you don't know the first thing about movies..
my brother's friend whose only seen the last movie absoutley loved this movie!
if HP is getting good reviews purley out of Nostalgia the same can be argued for say The Dark Knight for being Batman...or Avatar because it was directed by James Cameron..
or any LOTR movie after the Fellowship because that one did so well..
your argument is a void!
I agree with everything you said..Snape's story is heartbreaking..truly the most emotional film in the series..one of the greatest film franchises of all time no doubt.
david m. u must have no soul it was very emotional and of course u expected everything.........thats kind of wat the books do and with the emotions accumulating over 10 years, we all knew ron hermione, harry ginny and the others were going to be together, the least you could do was be happy 4 them.
he he, you are going to get a lot of hate here. Majority rules. I can see what you say about UP cuz I cried in the first 5 minutes too, but Harry Potter is still an iconic movie and it deserves credit for a great job done imagination and transporting fantasy. Few movies allow you to depart from reality like this movie does, and that is very special. Flawless!
That is a really cliche way to start a review. Now I'm not even going to read the full review because your preview was just so cliche that I'm all cliche'd out and your actual review probably contains even more cliches and that would just be a massive cliche overload.
