All in all, despite the verve that drives the grander set pieces, it's hard to avoid the sensation of a film toiling overtime to convince itself of its own solemnity.
In your case, there's no such thing as good grief. Yo fiiireeeeed!

I found the movie dull at best. It was well directed and acted for the most part, it just couldn't ever really get off the proverbial ground in my opinion. I just wanted SOMETHING exciting to happen, and all I was treated to was more useless teen drama than I could care to stomach. We've known who likes who for the last two films... I think it's time to focus on the bigger picture.

Agreed! This one totally just felt like a filler to me. The only really crucial part was the end.

Aragog and the vanishing cabinets are both in the book. I felt this movie was good but not great. Some of the plot transitions were a bit choppy.

the movie is great.

I actually completely agree with this critic. He isn't over doing it, except for the shot at Dumbledore, the movie was comedic (I laughed a lot) but it was supposed to be serious, an didn't deliver that.

movie confused social ambiguity for humor. It didn't deliver comedy either.
