Hamboner- If the two DH parts are 2 1/2 hours each or so, then that is finally doing justice to the larger Rowling novels, which have each been shredded to what is considered to be a "reasonable" running time. Five hours devoted to the essential parts of the book is plenty of time. It also allows them to add some smaller details from the DH book- such as Luna Lovegood's writings, the ones they saw when they went to her house- that they couldn't afford to keep in the previous movies (for one, Hermione's seeking of support for fair treatment fair treatment for the elves).
What I would like to see at the end of the DH saga is a slight extension of the book's ending. Like so many others, I really cared about what happened to the survivors, but I felt like the epilogue was way too short, as if Rowling mentally ran out of gas at the end, that she could and should have given us more information.
