La Haine
"It's definitely up there because of the cinematography, the cultural references, the graffiti, and the art. It's that kind of high-standard indie film and the French make such beautiful films anyway. They seem to be in a league of their own. All the references to the riots and the times and what was going on, that's particularly why I love that film."

Director Mathieu Kassovitz was 27 years old when he made that movie... it's like his own Reservoir dogs... a masterpiece, no doubt..! on Jul 10 2009 02:25 AM JB Books - they are children of stars here in England (Peaches and Pixie being Bob Geldofs children I believe). But they are basically spoon fed, obnoxious people who talk a lot but don't actually do anything. I'm not sure why RT has lumped Jamie in with this lot though. Yes she has a famous dad in Ray Winston, but she seems like a serious actress who is making a good go of it. Fair play to her. Haven't seen a lot of her works but I thought Dead Set was great! Pixies and Peaches are two of Bob Geldof's daughters, Lily and Alfie the children of the actor Keith Allen, though Lily Allen's now made her own career as a musician. (Reply to this) |
