Reviews for Havoc
Yo! Dawg! This is a youth drama about bored white rich kids in L.A. acting black.
It shows that a movie can premiere on DVD and just tell a quality story, not some knock off action vehicle for a star past his prime.
Combines documentary realism and an exploration of modern teen behavior within an intensely erotic drama of racial tension.
Despite the high-powered credits... this slight cautionary tale about slumming rich kids is a minor effort.
Like Catherine Hardwicke's Thirteen, only with money, this is an engaging and frequently tense teen drama with a full-on performance from Anne Hathaway.
Director Barbara Kopple strays into territory occupied by James Toback and Catherine Hardwicke.
This story of rich teens way out of their depth is chilling and nicely played. But it feels like a cautionary after-school movie spiced up with sex and violence.
Aside from the already-famous naked bits, there's just nothing here you haven't seen before. And smarter.
You’d at least expect a decent exploitation movie from this material.
