Audience Reviews for Hit Man

I am sorry to say that I was quite disappointed by this one. Even though it is a blaxploitation film, it was far closer to the stereotype of being mediocre and silly than many of these films end up being. Basically: this is a bad movie, and worst of all, it's actually rather boring and only somewhat entertaining.

It looks and sounds cool, buit then I realize that it's just very derivative (like many of these films), but doesn't really have too many saving graces (unlike several of its fellow blaxploitation flicks). It has Pam Grier in it, which helps, but even she can't carry this one. The music is not bad, but not very memorable. The plot involves porn, but it's uninteresting and the stprylines don't really hold up or work.

I should give this a lower rating, but for all of my complaining, there are far worse films out there. The terrible quality in general is a given. I'm just upset that it's not really remarkable or memorable. It's watchable, just not great.

Okay, there's a Blaxploitation version of Get Carter, in which Bernie Casey whips much ass while dressed in crazy '70s threads and accompanied by a large afro-ed Pam Grief?

Where has this movie been all my life?!?
