pinkincide writes: on Aug 01 2007 01:31 PM Are they actually going to suck the wonder out of this story with drab visuals and world-weary characters? Looks like it. (Reply to this) |

JUDGE DREDD writes: on Aug 01 2007 03:22 PM In reply to this comment (#1001517) Whatt??? Jim Carrey was the only great thing about the Grinch! It was Mike myers that killed seus, with cat in the hat! This one looks like it could be good but i think we needed a way better trailer. (Reply to this) |

CannibalPenguins writes: on Aug 01 2007 04:11 PM The Grinch was amazing! The Cat in the hat was terrible horrible mess! (Reply to this) |

LilAlex writes: on Aug 01 2007 05:43 PM I guess they will never learn that you can't stretch one song into an album. Dr. Seuss' stories are SHORT and work on that level. This trailer is just more proof of that. All dialog not by Seuss will suck just as it always has. (Reply to this) |

welease_woger writes: on Aug 01 2007 05:54 PM In reply to this comment (#1001767) I agree, The Grinch was amazing, as long as you're talking about the original with Boris Karloff. However, if you're calling the Jim Carrey version of The Grinch amazing then I only have one thing to say: %u201CStwike him, Centuwion, vewy woughly!%u201D (Reply to this) |

Darkness My Old Friend writes: on Aug 01 2007 06:13 PM Have any of these people making Dr. Seuss movies ever read any Dr. Seuss books? (Reply to this) |
|
smi1ey writes: on Aug 01 2007 06:57 PM i got excited when i saw the beginning of the trailer. i knew what it was about after maybe 5-10 seconds, because that was one of my favorite stories growing up. but i dunno, i just wasn't too impressed... seemed really dumb :( (Reply to this) |

TheIceGhost writes: on Aug 01 2007 11:41 PM In reply to this comment (#1001461) Drab visuals?? Dude, that trailer had some of the best cartoon-CGI I've ever seen. The detail of the fur and what not felt like inklings of the-next-level of CGI animation. Maybe that was just me though... I thought it looked pretty decent, actually. Don't know what you people want (besides the obvious, "don't make the movie" issue... it's Hollywood, you should be use to it by now). (Reply to this) |
|
bigturkey writes: on Aug 02 2007 12:05 AM This looks like it is going to be terribly, terribly painful. The trailer was played at the Simpson's movie and no one even giggled. (Reply to this) |

jacog writes: on Aug 02 2007 05:29 AM Grammar lesson for all: It's "Simpsons" not "Simpson's" ... When you say the latter, ie. "The Simpson's Movie was great" then you are implying that there was only one Simpson and it's his/her movie. "Simpsons" is a plural, "Simpson's" implies posession. In fact, you never use an apostrophe to pluralise anything. You never watch "movie's" or dislike "teenager's" ... no apostrophes! (Reply to this) |
|
Crenshaw writes: on Aug 02 2007 06:39 AM In reply to this comment (#1002975) Jacog, it's a blog (and please note the correct use of the apostrophe earlier). It's a blog no editing capabilities. Can I keep the diamonds falling out of your ***? (Reply to this) |
|
jacog writes: on Aug 02 2007 07:18 AM Actually it's a forum attached to a news site, not a blog. And no diamonds up my ***, just tired of seeing the English language raped by people whose first language it's supposed to be. And hey... this is a Dr. Seuss thread... innat serposed ta be summat edjycashinal? :P (Reply to this) |

nathanpoitras writes: on Aug 02 2007 09:06 AM I'm sure it'll be a piece of ****. (Reply to this) |

Samwise Gamgee writes: on Aug 02 2007 11:04 AM I don't think anyone will ever really get it right until they adapt the ultimate Seuss classic: Green Eggs and Ham, with Alan Rickman in the lead and Robin Williams as Sam I am. (Reply to this) |
|
mrdanny writes: on Aug 02 2007 11:06 AM I think it looks interesting... Remember It is a "kids" movie and the voice cast and credits look pretty impressive. maybe if some people stopped being so negative about things you might actually enjoy something.... just a thought. (Reply to this) |
|
Samwise Gamgee writes: on Aug 02 2007 11:07 AM In reply to this comment (#1003361) Oh, and Pixar needs to be doing the adaptation. That's a must. I can see it now. (Reply to this) |

unbreakable_samurai writes: on Aug 02 2007 11:37 AM I think it looks pretty damn sweet, one of the better animated films on the way right now. A lot of the people at my theater seemed to like the preview. And The Grinch was pretty damn good, The Cat in the Hat was horrible though. (Reply to this) |

the train writes: on Aug 02 2007 06:01 PM it looks like a fun movie. steve carrell was in that evan movie, but with that exception, he's been great in everything he's been in, so i'll trust that he's picked a good one again. (Reply to this) |
