At the risk of going against the obvious 'it's-cool-to-hate-Hilton' popular majority, it should be stated up front that The Hottie & the Nottie isn't half-bad.

Reviews for The Hottie & the Nottie
It's hard to fault the filmmakers, because given the premise, it could have been much MUCH worse.
I wouldn’t say it’s particularly good, but certain measured elements of the genre create something surprisingly passable.
In truth, parts of The Hottie and the Nottie are no worse than much of the romcom they sucker us with on any given week.
A film of monumental dreadfulness, the hunt for the worst movie of 2008 ends right here.
Johann Urb cruises up as a dream date doctor...and his utter blandness nearly bests Hilton’s. If the two of them conjoined, in an instant every interesting book or film or album ever created would implode.
How bad is this feature from deservedly unknown director Tom Putnam? How's this?: It's a blot on Paris Hilton's dignity.
After a panning in the States, The Hottie And The Nottie is being promoted as one of the worst-reviewed films ever.
It's a total and complete misfire of intention and execution; an utterly worthless, unfunny sack of pain that doesn't deserve anyone's time or attention.
Hilton has the meticulously manicured appeal of a lawn where every blade of grass has been individually cut and polished. Head coyly tilted, hip out-thrust, she makes purring kitten, predatory lioness moves not often seen outside of beer ads.
Working from Heidi Ferrer’s wholly uninspired script, Putnam runs through all the gross-out gags you’d expect.
Imagine the worst movie you've ever seen. Got it? Now try to think of something worse. That something is this movie -- wretched, embarrassing and a waste of the time and energy of everyone involved.
How does this movie fail? Count the ways. It's badly written, ineptly directed and it sets Paris Hilton as the pinnacle of female beauty and desirability.
The sort of comedy that could only have been produced by aliens whose only knowledge of earth comes from TMZ.com, VH1 reality shows, and Dane Cook movies.
A stark yet comforting reminder that cold, hard cash is no substitute for cold, hard talent. ‘The Hottie and the Nottie’ is an execrable Z-grade eugenics parable moonlighting as a sexy, disposable date movie.
A certain disappointment sets in when the consummate awfulness subsides after an hour, becoming slightly less painful. But then, dropping a hammer on your foot improves that way, too.
Like Nate, we are mere Notties. And we are supposed to feel oh-so privileged for getting to watch Paris through the glass.
