Hottie goes from insufferable to downright intolerable. While it pays lip service to inner beauty, the movie winds up as a feature-length advertisement for cosmetic surgery.

Reviews for The Hottie & the Nottie
Instead of ranking as an unforgettable turkey, it's merely forgettable.
Ultimately, The Hottie & the Nottie is no worse in many ways than a lot of teen-centric comedies, which generally appeal to their audience through cruelty and vulgarity.
For all its problems, though, The Hottie & the Nottie provides a valuable service. It reminds us that no matter how bad a one-star movie might be, it could always be worse. This is worse.
Excuse me while I ponder the earth-shaking question of how good the acting wing of Hilton's edifice of talents are.
With all her wealth and meaningless celebritude, Hilton is incapable of doing the one thing most of us desperately wish she would do: Go away.
Custom designed for its smirking star (who is also an executive producer), this tasteless train wreck asks only that she preen and prance on cue.
This parody is the divine joke: a heavenly reminder of how fabulously unfair real life is for the rest of us plain mortals.
'This movie hates women' is written over and over in my notebook, but that's not quite fair. This movie hates unattractive women.
The sort of comedy that could only have been produced by aliens whose only knowledge of earth comes from TMZ.com, VH1 reality shows, and Dane Cook movies.
One day aliens will land on Earth offering us answers to the secrets of the Universe. But, because of films like The Hottie & the Nottie they will deem us unworthy and return to the Heavens once more in their carbon-free interstellar cruisers.
It's hard to fault the filmmakers, because given the premise, it could have been much MUCH worse.
The Farrelly brothers could burp out a movie funnier than The Hottie & the Nottie, a farce of corrupt stereotypes that's never more grotesque than when it pretends to be more than skin-deep.
A crude twist on the old maxim about inner beauty trumping outward appearance.
As Barbara Ellen commented in her 'Observer' column, discussing the treatment of Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills, feminism should be approached like football: pick your side and stick with it. Even if that means defending The Hottie And The Nottie.
A certain disappointment sets in when the consummate awfulness subsides after an hour, becoming slightly less painful. But then, dropping a hammer on your foot improves that way, too.
A stark yet comforting reminder that cold, hard cash is no substitute for cold, hard talent. ‘The Hottie and the Nottie’ is an execrable Z-grade eugenics parable moonlighting as a sexy, disposable date movie.
How does this movie fail? Count the ways. It's badly written, ineptly directed and it sets Paris Hilton as the pinnacle of female beauty and desirability.
