Audience Reviews for Hurricane Smith
In Flixter twice. Poorly constructed action movie with surprisingly lame fight scenes. The acting never rises above average. The story fails to convince and is all too predictable. There is some decent cinematography. The score is strictly routine for the genre. It?s certainly nothing special. A more apt title might be Tropical Storm Smith.

James Higgins
Carl Weathers does the "Beverly Hills Cop" thing, only he's not a cop and he goes to Australia. Weathers plays an oil field worker who goes to Australia looking for his sister, and runs a foul of a prostitution/drug ring that she was somehow involved with. The movie never makes it clear exactly how she was involved with them, and her ultimate fate is tossed away in one line of dialogue during the climax. Jurgen Prochnow overacts like mad as the leader of the ring. It's safe to say he doesn't have much regard for this project. Neither should anyone else really. It's strictly by the numbers.
