Will Smith Adds Seven Pounds
Suicide is painless/It brings on many changes/And he can take or leave it if he pleases.
He's filming Hancock and gearing up to promote this winter's I Am Legend, but Will Smith isn't looking for any time off -- in fact, Variety reports that he's already committed to his next project.
The film, which will reunite the actor with his The Pursuit of Happyness director, Gabriele Muccino, is titled Seven Pounds; according to Variety's report, Smith will star in the story of "a man who inadvertently falls in love while attempting to kill himself." Grant Nieporte -- who most recently scripted several episodes of 8 Simple Rules...for Dating My Teenage Daughter and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch -- wrote the screenplay.
Seven Pounds is scheduled to begin shooting in February, and is being produced by Smith's company, Overbrook Entertainment, in conjunction with Escape Artists. The filmmakers are aiming for a late 2008 release.

He has been in movies where stereotypical catchphrases weren%u2019t uttered...that particular movie being one of the better ones. Even the ones where he is uttering stereotypical catchphrases aren%u2019t written by him and don%u2019t diminish him as an actor. (Reply to this) |
