Movie Info

This is the most panned of the three biographies of songsmith Stephen Foster. Though made on a tiny budget and suffering from limp direction, it does feature 21 of Foster's best-loved songs. The story portrays Foster as a mild, rather dense bookkeeper with a talent for songwriting.

Audience Reviews for I Dream of Jeanie

Very bland biography of Stephen Foster. The acting is fair to poor. The songs help, but the low budget doesn't. Not very involving. It's the only movie I know of where the title of the movie is misspelled on the cover box. It has Jeanie with two n's.
