Then a crack on the head lifts nine years of amnesia away, and Powell comes to as George Carey, con man extraordinaire. Carey doesn't remember wife Kay at all but falls right back in love, persuading her not to divorce him while using his responsible reputation as Larry Wilson to begin swindling anew. But just when Kay is melting back into his arms, Carey receives another blow to the head.
