Someone Still Continues to Know What You Did Several Summers Ago
The always reliable FilmJerk.com brings news that's bound to thrill all the horror fans out there, and I use the word "thrill" with heavy sarcasm. Yes, that's right: A second sequel to "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is on the way -- only this time we won't have Jennifer Love Hewitt or Freddie Prinze to snicker at.
"I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" will be directed by Damon Santostefano ("Three to Tango") from a screenplay by Michael Weiss ("Octopus 2: River of Fear"). Production is scheduled to begin this August.
Oh, and here's the plot: "Four teens from a small Colorado town will be victimized by a phantom menace one year after a July Fourth prank gone awry kills one of their buddies. Against the protestation of one of them, the group agree to keep this secret, only to find their friendships torn apart from the strain."

fight__club writes: on Jul 07 2005 03:50 PM NO NO NO. I love I Know What You Did Last Summer. How can there be a sequel without Jennifer Love Hewitt. The cliffhanger ending on I still Know what You Did Last Summer ends with her. This is definetely stupid. I hate half-assed sequels. (Reply to this) |

The Gambler writes: on Jul 09 2005 08:41 AM this sounds less like a sequel and more like a remake, recycling the formula is one thing but dont attach it to the franchise, mix the parts up but dont turn it into one of those "starship troopers" sequels or "wild things" sequels (Reply to this) |

Revor writes: on Jul 09 2005 01:07 PM In the first one at least it was a random guy they smashed and tried to hide. Covering up a good friend's death though? They might as well accidentally kill one of the 4's entire family and swear themselves to secrecy. That way when the family comes back for revenge, at least it will have a poignant ending.
