Justin Batement-Jason Siegel- Paul Rudd there are probably another dozen or so of these "actors" they spew-out words that aren't funny they don't really offer much active comedy they are the SoCal comedy troupe ...they are stoned, silly, over the top stupid! If you are not stoned silly or recently taken a Buick to the head bringing awful cranium trauma you will not find their overly chatty attempt at humor misplaced...Oh yeah and that dude that played "Green Hornet" he's another of the young boring and snarky SoCal drips...
You can usually tell if it's going to be terrible from the advertisements (usually). For instance this one looked annoying as hell from the advertisements, although it's pretty extreme; every time a TV spot showed up on Television I wanted to punch Melissa MCarthy in the face, she looks so incredibly annoying in this movie, not funny at all.
It wasn't sarcasm. The scene was meant to be humorous in the same way that Zach Galifiankis would annoyingly make a fool out of himself for the sake of comedy. The only difference is, Melissa McCarthy isn't funny. At all. Not even remotely.
