Oddly enough, this little elegiac film stays with you.
The transfer doesn't do the film justice, but cinephilles will have a hard time coming by another recent DVD release of a crucial film accompanied by an equally crucial commentary track.
There's something poignant about an artist of 90-plus years taking the effort to share his impressions of life and loss and time and art with us.
