Wayans stars as Jack Spade, a man who returns home from the army to find that his brother has died of an overdose of gold chains -- all provided by the nefarious Mr. Big. So Jack embarks on a mission to gather all the most famous 1970's action heroes (all accompanied by heroic theme music) to wage war against Mr. Big. But things don't go smoothly for Jack and his makeshift commandoes, and eventually Jack finds that he must face Mr. Big alone -- and earn his own theme music. [More]

Reviews for I'm Gonna Git You Sucka
Wayans' choosing to play romantic lead seems more narcissistic than smartly comic (watch him unleash those built biceps once too often); he lacks an unidentifiable shtick.
Since we are dealing with parody here, every aspect of black communities is open territory for Wayans’ brand of humour.
Although, like all good satires, it is cheerfully willing to be offensive, it is almost completely incapable of being funny.
In offering up this affectionate parody of the old movies, Wayans also turns a satiric eye on black culture in general -- but in an inoffensive, lighthearted manner.
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is a lively but uncertain mixture of nostalgia, silliness and genuinely unpredictable humor.
In many respects this is a black counterpart to The Naked Gun, and very nearly as funny; the bounty of antimacho gags is both unexpected and refreshing.
