Connery on "Indy 4"

Summary

Dark Horizons reports that Sean Connery has told UK Teletext that he's waiting to read the "Indiana Jones 4" script before he makes a decision as to whether or not he'll reprise his role as Indy's dad, Dr. Henry Jones, who first appeared in the series' third installment, 1989's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." From his track record Connery isn't very good at picking out scripts, so I imagine he'll end up doing this one. His last flick The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was pretty terrible.

You just made a comment that on the surface seems insightful, but in actuality shows you don't keep up with Industry news.
The truth is that Connery and the director of "League" constantly clashed due to the script being inapproriate. And Connery was so upset with the result that he retired from film altogether. He couldn't leave during production because he is bound to the signed agreement.
So as negative as you make things sound, you're just don't have all the information to adecuately make a judgment on the subject.

I agree, but as much as Connery's track record is shady, I doubt this film will suffer for his participation.

LXG aside....
Connery has done his fair share of crap in the last decade. I can't imagine he thought the script for 'The Avengers' was top notch. If they wave enough cash in front of him, he'll come around.

Don't forget to grab Harrison Ford's walker while you're at it. He's not much younger.

Translated into english: I an negotiating for mo money mo money mo money.

When lucas and spielberg make a movie, one that is considered a big one,
you don't pull a script excuse, he's just trying to get some big part of the pie.

whoa, you mean that Dr. Henry Jones was 12 when he impregnated Indy's mother. That's so wrong!

If he is in Indy4, he's got to have a small role, compared to Last Crusade. He's so old now, it's difficult to imagine him running around like he did almost 20 years ago.
