UNITED STATES

New York

More than justice, adventure, and beating up Nazis, Indiana Jones is a champion of higher learning. It's here at Barnett College that, after fending off a routine throng of enthusiastic archaeology students, Jones received his father's Holy Grail research diary and sets off to Venice, Italy to find him.

Washington, D.C.

After recovering the Ark of the Covenant, Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood make their way back to the United States. Though Jones is reassured "top men" are researching the Ark in Washington, D.C., it currently remains lost in a top secret warehouse and with the government blissfully unaware of the Ark's potential. We're sure the Nixon administration would've found a use for it with pesky hippies.

Utah

What kind of upbringing do you need to one day turn into a guy like Indiana Jones, anyways? For your answer, take a peek at Utah circa 1912: a distant Scottish pa, a dog sidekick, the Boy Scouts, a lot of mountains to explore, and a passing circus train to find your weapon of choice and develop a snake phobia on one fateful convenient day.

San Francisco

Did Indiana Jones leave his heart in San Francisco? Nope. (Though almost in India at the Temple of Doom.) Indy's visit to San Francisco is a brief one, with only enough time to hop on a plane to pay Marion Ravenwood a visit in Nepal.

I want to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull locations posted on here! Doesn't he go to Mexico and the El Dorado in the Amazon?

In reply to this comment (#1741582)
He probably taught a few colleges throughout a series, but we took Indy's school address from the package Sean Connery sends him in Last Crusade.

No, they got the New York thing right.

When Indy is first seen talking to Walter Donovan in Last Crusade, you can clearly see the New York city skyline and Central Park as it was in 1938. I think they also show the Empire State Building...hence confirming that Indy was in fact NOT in Marshall College, yet a College in New York during the opening events of Last Crusade.

According to the official site, www.indianajones.com, Indy teaches at Marshall College, a fictional college in Connecticut. It doesn't state that he taught anywhere else previously, although this is canonical proof that he hasn't.

"Raiders" doesn't specificy which college he teaches at -- although the exterior was filmed at the University of the Pacific, near Stockton, California. Some people assume that Indy's college is in San Francisco, because the plane on which he departs from Nepal passes by the Golden Gate bridge. However, his journey from home may have begun at a point previous to this scene.

In "Temple", Indy makes a reference about getting back to his "university".

In "Crusade", the address on the package is indeed "Barnett College" in New York.

Are you only mapping out the places in the movies or the actual places the filming took place? because if it's filming sites, the holy grail scenes took place in the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, and not in Turkey.

This is a pretty cool map. How many people would want to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull locations as well? Just curious...

If I recall correctly, the college scenes were filmed at U. of the Pacific because it had an "Ivy League" look, but was supposed to represent an East Coast university.

In Raiders his plane leaves from San Francisco but in Last Crusade, it leaves from New York.
