Reviews for Inspector Gadget
...a kind of relentless "wacky" slapstick movie that plays like Robocop (a film that shares its basic plot) married to Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
The movie feels like a demonstration reel for toys, action figures and future DisneyQuest installations.
Finally, here’s a TV-to-multiplex spinoff that not only matches but perhaps improves upon the original!
The best thing about Inspector Gadget is that it's only 75 minutes long.
A plea to Walt Disney Pictures officials: No more live-action, big-screen comedies based on kids' cartoons! Please.
Although it’s quick, mischievous and full of visual trickery, there’s not much magic in Inspector Gadget.
Broderick is likeable as the gizmo-laden cartoon hero, but the plot could have used a tune-up.
