Stan Lee Promises Many, Many Marvel Movies
Still no word on a Howard the Duck reboot.

Get ready for a lot more movies based on Marvel characters -- according to Stan Lee, the company is leaving no major character unfilmed.

While walking the red carpet before receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival, Lee stopped to answer a few questions, and Collider was there to chime in (and, thankfully, write the whole thing down). After promising that his cameo in next year's Iron Man is "the greatest," Lee dished on some of what we can expect from his company, POW! Entertainment, in the near future:

I've got three movies that are being developed at Disney. We're working on some television shows. We're working on an animated movie with Paris Hilton and another one with Ringo Starr.

Perhaps Paris and Ringo will be starring in a Caveman remake?

Lee then gets down to business, telling Collider that he "can't think of an important Marvel character that isn't being primed for a movie," and responds to half-serious rumors about a feature adaptation of the publisher's old "kid heroes" book, Power Pack:

They've been talking about -- now they're not working on it but they have been discussing whether to do it -- "Power Pack." They'll be doing "Submariner," "Captain America," "The Avengers," "Nick Fury."

Can't you just hear the casting rumors multiplying like bunnies?

Yeah thats marvel's strategy all right... throw as much at the wall and see what sticks. Iron Man will probably be good but captain america? Nick Fury? LOL!

Didn't I hear that Sam Jackson will be doing a cameo in Ironman as Nick Fury? Or am I making that up? I'm assuming they're planning to use the cameo as a springboard into his own movie?

Though I don't know how he could possibly hope to rival the sheer volcanic power of the original Nick Fury ... David Hasselhoff.

So... ol' Stan is proud to announce that he's doing a film with Paris Hilton... *sigh* Scorekeepers, chalk another one up to the Lord of Atrocities.

Though maybe there's a chance ... IF Sam would consider eating a Royale with cheese off the floor in a drunken stupor!

Not sure what to think of this ...

As i see it right now Marvel has about a 50/25/25 record when it comes to there movies . Half the time they are decent and enjoyable and quarter of the time they are mediocre but watchable and the other quarter of the time they are so boring and poorly done you wish they never do another thing for the rest of your life ...

Spiderman , X-men , Ironman and The Incredible Hulk all were and look really good and well done...

Blade, Daredevil , Fantastic 4 , Punisher were alright but not the greatest ...

Elektra , Hulk and Ghost Rider were not good at all ...

I feel the same about this list of yet to do characters ...

Captain America , Black Panther , Avengers , Thor and Silver Surfer could all be done well and turn out great ...

Nick Fury , Ant man , Submariner , Deadpool , Luke Cage and so on just dont have the mass appeal and i am not sure why they need to be made into movies ...

I get what Marvel is trying to do , but I am not sure it is needed right now or wanted and they risk over saturating the market so much that all potential movies and franchises could fail ...

he's basically aquaman, but they can't call it that because that was used in 'entourage' already (or was allowed to be used in entourage because they already planned on calling the actual movie 'submariner') it doesn't really matter though because it's not going to be good... without vince chase.

If Sam Jackson were set to play Michael Knight, then I'd give credence to the speculation over whether he'll outshine Hasselhoff. And that only because of the notoriety of Hasselhoff as the character. But Nick Fury? Come on!

You are an idiot. Submariner is not Aquaman. And Marvel not calling the film Aquaman has nothing to do with Entourage. Aquaman is a DC character and both characters have been around for many decades before Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase) was even a gleam in his mother's eye.

Well actually they couldn't call him Aquaman because... he's not Aquaman. lol. Aquaman is DC. Vincent Chase and his Entourage have nothing to do with it.

God, I loved Speedball, it was just so bad it got cancelled right away. Stan Lee is losing his marbles. An animated movie with Paris Hilton? How do you make an animated whore appeal to a broad audience without a blowjob scene? You might want to pencil that scene in just in case.

Don't mess with the Hoff people. His car will assault you with witty, accented lingo.

Um... great? I guess? Why do we need a Namor movie? So we can laugh at his little wing-ankles for 2 hours?

Oh well. Can't wait for Sam Jackson's Nick Fury. Also need Brad Pitt for Cap. Edgar Wright's take on Ant-Man is sure to be great too.

Hell, even a Power Pack movie isn't a bad idea. Kids will eat it up like candy.
