2. New to DVD: Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Although it's not one of the superhero movies that dominated the summer box office, Forgetting Sarah Marshall was the story of another kind of hero: a doughy Average Joe (Jason Segal) who could pull both Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis, thus earning the respect of geeky boys everywhere. With Judd Apatow as its producer, Forgetting Sarah Marshall resonated like the soft sound of male genitalia slapping gently against a warm thigh...

As a special gift to you, we present an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Forgetting Sarah Marshall's Russell Brand as he surveys his half-naked co-stars while filming the hotel lobby scene -- decide for yourself if you believe his claim that Kristen Bell has used each glimpse of his nude torso as a "masturbatory opportunity."

Ahem. The fine folks at Universal have been quite generous with the home video treatment here, making Forgetting Sarah Marshall available in a single-disc Unrated edition ($29.98), a three-disc Unrated Collector's Edition ($34.98) and on Blu-ray ($39.98). While casual viewers can make do with the single-disc release (which features a commentary, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a "line-o-rama") the Apatow faithful will be delighted to find behind-the-scenes extras on the three-disc release beyond their wildest imaginations. Here find cast audition tapes, footage from Sarah Marshall's television show "Crime Scene," an alternate take and table read of "Dracula's Lament," and two cast and crew commentaries. Finally, cap things off with Jason Segal's "Sex-o-rama" and "Drunk-o-rama" montages and on-set video diaries filmed during production.

And we haven't even gotten to the Blu-ray exclusive content: a Picture-in-Picture making-of feature, video and visual commentaries, a custom feature that allows you to program your own montage and six sing-along karaoke tracks!

Next: Holy Blu-ray, Batman!

I'm confused. So far, I've heard two different stories on what the special features are for The Dark Knight......

you know those documentaries on the dark knight blu-ray already aired on the history channel. And by the way warheart the special features on the dark knight are what rottentomatoes says it is. from what ive seen that seems to be what is going to be on it.

LOL, Nick Fury was so bad! Man, I really hope they do another Nick Fury movie with JACKSON! Nick Fury is such a cool character, The Hoff messed him up so bad. Looking forward to Iron Man and Sarah Marshall tomorrow. Looking forward to TDK and HB II on Blu Ray.

Man, already talks of an extended Max Payne cut. I think if the director is already talking about an unrated extended cut before the movie even comes out, then that must mean the studio made him cut more then he wanted. Hope Max Payne is good, but my hopes aren't too high plus I will be seeing W. the day Payne comes out.

The studio made him release a PG-13 film, the MPAA made him do the cuts.

The cut scene from Iron Man probably costs as much as a full decent TRUE independant film. . .

I know Joker, I saw him Matt as weel on the movie review show

& his opinion on the new Spike Lee film was by far the best. That Ben Lyons-

he's sooo awful but Matt made the experience worth it. Still, I'm hoping for

a Jen Yamato appearance! And I won't be satisfied till that happens "At the

Movies" producers!!

Well from the way it looks, the 2-Disc version of TDK has got nothing at all. The 6 scenes in IMAX don't constitute as special features since they're in the movie.

Doomius, if you mean the Iron Man scene, you may have seen it earlier when Access Hollywood ran it months ago. That was technically a "TV exclusive," though those rascals put it on their site as well. Since then it appears to have been taken down, so nobody else should have it now. At least not officially. Also, I believe that party scene was a different cut; ours begins earlier, from what I remember. Anyhow, enjoy it.

Warheart, the Dark Knight details in this column are straight from Warner Bros.' mouth. There were tons of earlier speculative articles floating around the web, some even with product photos that I confirmed with the studio were not official or final. This is what we know now.

That said, I can't wait for December!

What's this "Dark Knight" movie? Has anyone seen it? Is it any good?

Does it have swords and dragons? That'd be cool...

I still don't get why everyone liked Sarah Marshall. I thought it was painful to watch at best, and was not funny at all.

I am gonna pre-order The Dark Knight. Like big time! I did it the last time when Batman Begins came out on dvd. I will buy Iron Man when I get home but will rent Forgetting Sarah Marshall. That movie was funny as hell.
