George Marshall directed this mild sex comedy about a showgirl who marries a U.S. Air Force sergeant and puts his love to the test by decreeing her body off-limits to him for a 30-day period (usually something built up to in the course of a marriage over a period of years). Debbie Reynolds plays Maggie Putnam, a vivacious showgirl who dreams of marrying a rich man. Instead, in an impulsive move, she marries Sgt. Joe Fitzpatrick (Glenn Ford), a penniless Air Force sergeant who wins a $40,000 car.

It may have started with a Kiss, But it's the Exotic Car he won (she sold him the Ticket, that's how they met) that causes all the trouble & provides all the fun. Can't help but think it should be somewhere in the title. She(Debbie Reynolds) is a wanna be Gold Digger & Showgirl, He(Glen Ford) is on an Air force Sergeants
August 10, 2011Cute romantic comedy, typical of its era. It's not particularly memorable (except for that car!), but it entertains along the way. Glenn Ford and Debbie Reynolds have a good rapport together. Good production, fine supporting cast.
