A man trying to make his dying father happy makes his love life very complicated indeed in this musical comedy starring Deanna Durbin. Comedy of a kind that doesn't get made any more (probably due to a lack of actors who can pull off this sort of thing).

Little known, but very entertaining movie. A guy must find a girl to be his girlfriend and meet his father before he dies. But everything falls apart when his father lives!

Probably my favorite Deanna Durbin film, and it benefits greatly from Charles Laughton's brilliant performance. Deanna is at her best. The story is cute. It may not be an original concept, but rarely has it been done this well. Great fun.
