If writer Paul Tanter's voiceover and dialogue had been delivered with any conviction, it might have distracted us from the dull visuals, over-complicated flash-back/flash-forward structure and TV soap opera-style acting.
Jack Said is another okay film enlivened by a typically spirited Dyer performance.
A dull, poorly acted affair that doesn't deserve the brief release it's getting.
There's not much to be said for this overcooked, overheated Brit gangster thriller... Barrelling uncertainly between mockney-hoodlum cliches and wannabe noir stylings, it's only enlivened by a brief cameo from Danny Dyer.
Makes Guy Ritchie look like Dostoyevsky. Awful lines, bad acting - Danny Dyer's appearances stand out as dazzlingly professional, which says it all - unredeemed by a taste of Act 2 of Mozart's Figaro, a bizarre rococo touch.
Dreadful British thriller with a tedious script, irritating characters, amateurish performances and a surprising lack of anything resembling action or thrills.
