Jaws is the best IMO. E.T....meh. I hate cute aliens.

Jaws is obviously the best on this list, but films like E.T. deserve better respect from people on RT. It changed our perceptions of aliens being monsters that are out to get us.

Wait...so The Dark Knight, the 3rd highest grossing film of all time, isn't number one? Yeah Indiana Jones deserves to be on this list for sure. Lots of great movies on this list, but TDK should still be number one.

Just because a film makes alot of money doesn't make it the best. That's not an opinion, that's just a fact.

P.S. I'm not saying "The Dark Knight" isn't a great film.

Hey it was just an opinion guys. I have seen every movie on this list except for 2, and most of these are in my film collection. A lot of these movies I hold very close to my childhood. I'm only 19 so cut me some slack if I haven't been around as long to actually see a lot of these in theaters. I love most of these movies and because of the event that was The Dark Knight and my personal experience I think it's number 1. Iron Man comes pretty close too for me.

Do they even know the definition of what a summer blockbuster. Big is not a blockbuster. Neither are animated movies no matter how good they are.

So many great movies with huge scores, I don't know if a low place, or even not being included, is much of an insult.

I'm pretty happy with this one. WALL-E and The Dark Knight are placed about as high as one could hope for, especially since all the ones ahead of them are classics, pure and simple (not that I like them more). It's hard to argue with Toy Story 3 being so high with its reception, though I still prefer WALL-E and Up, so I'm glad the latter beat it. I was also happy to see Unforgiven, though I would have appreciated it ranking higher. And is anyone else glad that they finally got a new consensus for Empire Strikes Back?
