However, Rajmani is painfully estranged from his own twin brother, and in order to prevent the same thing from happening to his sons, he forbids Vishu and Ramu to marry anyone other than twin sisters. In a misguided effort to win his approval, Madhumita pretends to have a twin named Vaishnavi--but when Ramu starts falling for this imaginary sister of his brother's lover, complete chaos erupts.
