Emotionally deeper than Corbijn's pic, [Control] in its portrayal, using fine one-on-one interviews to reveal the terrible regrets and guilt that wracked everyone in and near the band about [leadsinger Ian] Curtis.
The year 1980 may seem like a long time ago, but Grant's picture is so immediate, and so alive, that it may as well have been yesterday.
