As Jurassic Park IMAX 3D is released, I am slightly older and wiser (with much emphasis on the word 'slightly'), but the film has lost none of its magic. From a technical standpoint, the effects look as incredible as ever. The narrative is a brilliant mix of sci-fi, adventure, and horror, filled with great dialogue and intriguing ethical debates. At 28 years old, I may be able to read into the subtext while also spotting the plot lapses and continuity errors, but seeing this movie on the big screen in today's most up to date technology made me feel like a 9 year old kid again. It completely renewed my love for the movies.

"An Adventure 65 Million Years in the Making"
Jurassic Park is pure spectacle. It's a visual feast every time you watch. The film is stunning to look at and the dinosaurs could not look better. It's a thrilling and suspenseful movie that captures every kids fascination with dinosaurs. I doubt theres a child who has seen this movie and not been totally engrossed by it. It's rare that the same fascination kids have with a movie can be shared by adults. This is truly a movie for all ages. I know, it's not technically a kids movie, but look at the target market in the films Park. There kids and kids are a major market for Spielberg's thrilling Jurassic Park.
Amazingly well made and extremely fast paced; this movies two hour run time flies by so quickly and it seems like you just started watching the film. As a visual experience, Jurassic Park is second to none. Okay, maybe it's second to Avatar. This is really is an extremely fun movie to watch though. It does have a few problems in my opinion though.
I honestly don't care about any of the characters except, Alan(Sam Neill). He is the only likable character to me. Laura Dern is as annoying as ever in her role. Something about her just pisses me off. The only thing more annoying then her are the two little kids running around screaming and making weird faces the whole movie. I seriously wanted those two kids to get devoured by a T-Rex, so I wouldn't have to listen to them anymore. All the other characters weren't annoying, just not very likable. I don't care so much about them though, since they weren't onscreen as much as Dern and the two crumb snatchers.
Other then the characters though, there is nothing to complain about with Jurassic Park. I really do love it.
