I agree with the politics though, and with the killing off of the black characters. It's like, let's put a black character there, then they don't develop them. (Reply to this) |

Uradik Smoke writes: on Sep 27 2007 10:50 PM The only way and I mean only way to make this now work with the details i just read would be to go older , as in late 30's maybe mid 40's for Superman and Batman . That is the only way DC and WB can save face and still keep the flagship eventual triliogies of Nolans Batman and Singers Superman on the same plain as the JLA movie . Explaining that the JLA movie is sort of in the future of the characters and that teh trilogies are sort of origins based and building up the characters of Batman and Superman then this could and i mean "could" work . Also i agree that if they keep Superman and Batman in superhero character and dont dwell or focus on Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent in anyway this movie stil co-exist with the seperate franchises tha are on going . But with the spoiler news and the names being tossed about of Jessica Biel , Ryan Renyolds , Ryan Gossling and so I am worried they are making the charcters to young , hence causing mass over laps and contradictions to the Batman and Superman characters that have been set up in the new films ... There are just so many what ifs , and coulds that i dont hold much hope for this movie ... (Reply to this) |

talan7 writes: on Sep 28 2007 08:08 AM In reply to this comment (#1153151) You're exactly the problem! All you've been talkking about is how they shouldn't use John Stewart, they shouldn't use John Stewart. Enough, we heard you the first time, stop crying. Yes they're using politics to try to appeal to a wider audience, that's the movie business. And your crack about a WET network, try every other ntwork. The fact that a black Green Lantern character already existed makes perfect sense for the movie. It wasn't like there was never a black Green Lantern and they created one for the movie. Regarding John Stewarts popularity, I know he's not as popular as others, I bet you didn't even buy the John Stewart Green Lanterns. If they were using Black Lightning and not Green Lantern in the movie you'd be complaining, they're just using Black Lightning cause they need a black character. He was never a major character. Your prejudice is apparent. Keep it to yourself. (Reply to this) |

aknddon3 writes: on Sep 28 2007 11:30 AM JOHN STEWART WAS NEVER A MAJOR CHARACTER. HE IS A JOKE CHARACTER. Why are you being a hypocrite and not asking for a latino or asian character? See white television has to have blacks because of whiney racists like you that cry yet blacks are allowed to have a BET which does not have any whites on there. Go away you pile of crap, go cry about how racist people are. Until you have gone through what the Jews, who are white, have gone through then you can talk. 300 years of turmoil is nothing compared to 3000 years. (Reply to this) |

If you're going to wax all intellectual like, then you need to make sure you bring the turtle wax. Green Arrow IS NOT, WAS NOT, WILL NEVER BE a member of the JLA. He is an honorary member. That is the way HE wants it. Not the JLA. They have invited him many times to join. Oliver does not want to join. He wants to stay the way it is so he doesn't have to answer to the likes of "The Big Three"! That's all! (Reply to this) |

skysaber26 writes: on Oct 02 2007 09:14 PM Casting for me would be a cinch. Superman-Tom Welling Batman-Timothy Oliphant Wonder Woman-Kate Beckinsale Flash-Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern-Leonard Roberts(D.L. from Heroes) Martian Manhunter-John Cena (WWE Wrestler) Good actor, built, and mostly bald...LOL!!! Welling for me would be a natural choice. But he would probably be a reach for most fans given his age and all. How young he is. Oliphant would be a NATURAL Batman! Beckinsale, they couldn't afford her. But you know she could pull off the stunts. Flash...if it's Wally then Reynolds is perfect. If it's anyone else, your guess is as good as mine. Leonard Roberts would be a good G.L. He has charisma, that on screen pizazz that superheroes need to have. And John Cena. Well, they did AMAZING things with Kelsey Grammar as Beast, so I'm sure they could pull off Cena as MM. He is a good actor. And he IS ripped like Jhonn is. Plus his voice is REALLY low, so he has that going for him too. And to whomever suggested Fishburn as the voice of MM....dude, buy a freakin' clue! Do you NOT remember the debacle that IS Rise of the Silver Surfer? Honestly. (Reply to this) |
