Kara köpekler havlarken (Black Dogs Barking) (2009)
Two small time troublemakers with a get-rich-quick scheme are thrown into major league danger in this streetwise drama from Turkey. Selim (Cemal Toktas) and Çaça (Volga Sorgu) are two guys in their early twenties who live in a shabby neighborhood on the edge of Istanbul, where they dream of someday striking it rich. Selim and Çaça spend their days looking after their pet pigeons, cruising the streets and hanging out with a handful of buddies, but they dream of bigger and better things, and have set their sights on opening up a parking lot near a popular shopping center. Selim and Çaça could never raise the money for such a project on their own, but they've made friends with the head of a local crime syndicate, and he's willing to put up the cash in order to launder some of his profits. But when the head of mall security learns of Selim and Çaça's plans, he's enraged and will do anything to stop it; soon, Selim and Çaça are visited by cops who want to shut down the local mobster and see the young entrepreneurs as a way of getting inside their operation, leaving the guys stuck between the law and men with the power to have them killed.
