A towering monument to the exposure of one of the darkest secrets of the Soviet era, the Katyn massacre of 1940. One of the best films of one of the best directors in the history of cinema.
Oscar nominated "Katyn" It's a solid film based on tragic polish history, however it lacks of emotional touch (which is weird 'cause the whole theme is very personal to the director - Wajda's father was among the soldiers that died in Katyn).
